African Soccer ruling body ( CAF) has conducted the draws for the 2022 Women’s Champions League that will be hosted in Morocco, Abbeylivenetwork.com reports.

Seven teams have already secured their place in the competition and it remained only the representative from the UNIFFAC region but despite that CAF proceed with the draw.

Nigeria Women Football League champion Bayelsa Queens are drawn in Group B alongside defending champions, Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa,  Wadi Degla of Egypt, and yet-to-be-determined UNIFFAC (Central Africa) representatives.

Group A houses, the host club, ASFAR FC of Morocco, Simba Queens of Tanzania, Green Buffaloes of Zambia, and Determine Girls of Liberia.

Bayelsa Queens qualified for the 2022 TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League by winning the West Africa Zone B (WAFU-B) title defeating Ampem Darkoa of Ghana 3-0.

Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies which won the maiden TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League title automatically qualified for the second edition.

Wadi Degla of Egypt clinched the UNAF (North Africa) Zonal title.

Four out of the seven drawn teams will be making their debut appearances at this year’s tournament; Simba Queens, Green Buffaloes, Determine Girls, and Bayelsa Queens.

The  CAF Women’s Champions League is scheduled to take place from 30 October to 13 November 2022 in Morocco.

  • Matchday 1: 30-31 October 2022
  • Matchday 2: 2-3 November 2022
  • Matchday 3: 5-6 November 2022
  • Semi-finals: 9 November 2022
  • Third Place match: 12 November 2022
  • Final: 13 November 2022
