Action resumed in the second period, and Nigerian ladies continued in their impressive form.
Afolabi Taiwo’s long range effort in the 75th minute to seal Nigeria’s third goal. She scored a fantastic goal from 25 yards but was made to wait as the VAR had to check if there was an offside in the bulldup to the goal.
In additional time, Edidiong Etim latched on to a loose ball to unleash a shot into the net for the Flamingos’ fourth
The Flamingos would hold on to claim three points and move to the second spot on the standings while Germany face Chile in the other group game.
