The Super Eagles will have their first first training session at 5pm on Wednesday (today) as they begin preparations for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe, Abbeylivenetwork.com reports.
Meanwhile as at Tuesday afternoon the officials of the team have settled down at the Four Points Sheraton hotel, Uyo waiting to receive the players and prepare them for the weekend encounter.
Head coach, Jose Peseiro arrived Uyo on Tuesday with his assistants.
The Portuguese inspected the playing turf, dressing room and other important facilities upon his arrival in the City.
However, eight players have already arrived Uyo for the qualifiers against Falcons of Sao Tome and Principe.
Belgium-based duo of Torunarigha Jodan and Orban Gift, Cyprus-based Uzoho Francis, Ebuehi Tyrone, Adeleye Adebayo, Onyemachi Bruno, Boniface Victor, and Raphael Onyedika are the first set of players that have arrived.
Other invited players are expected before the end of today.
The Super Eagles have already secured a place at the 2023 AFCON finals to be hosted by Cote d’Ivoire.
The three-time African champions however need a point from the clash against Sao Tome and Principe to finish top of Group A.
