AC Milan are on the verge of completing the signing of Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze from Villarreal, Abbeylivenetwork.com scooped.
According to information emanating from the reliable transfer market expert, Fabrizio Romano, the deal will be completed this week as the Rossoneri are already sealing the final details of the deal.
The paperwork for Chukwueze is going through the system today and plans are being made for when he can arrive in Italy later in the week, where he will do his medical and then sign his contract.
The insistence on pursuing a move for the right winger is not far-fetched as he was in a rich vein of form for Villarreal last season and helped them qualify for the Europa League.
The 24-year-old dazzling right winger posted 24 goal contributions in all competitions, which is the highest he has registered in a single season for the Yellow Submarine.
Meanwhile, AC Milan manager, Stephano Pioli, has revealed to the Nigerian about the project he is building in Milan, especially with young talents such as Rafael Leao and the recent acquisition of Noah Okafor. Chukwueze is said to be Pioli’s top target for the right-wing position.
Up to this point in the summer, Milan has made several acquisitions, including Marco Sportiello, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Luka Romero, Christian Pulisic, and Tijjani Reijnders. Additionally, they have Noah Okafor ready for a medical examination, which makes Chukwueze the potential seventh signing for the team this summer.
