In a Zoom meeting with the Players, The Nigeria Minister of Sport, John Owan Enoh has expressed his support for the Super Eagles and their quest to win the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) in 2023.
He said that the team has what it takes to bring the trophy home, and he urged them to do so for the sake of the country and its people.
Enoh also praised the team’s management and the efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in ensuring that the team has the resources it needs to succeed.
Enoh emphasized the importance of sports in uniting the country and bringing joy to its people.
He noted that the Super Eagles are a symbol of national pride and a source of inspiration for the youth.
He called on all Nigerians to rally behind the team and support them in their quest for glory. He also encouraged the team to give their best and make the nation proud.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria will square up against the Indomitable lions of Cameroon on Saturday, 9pm in the round of 16.
