The Bafana Bafana of South Africa defeated Congo Democratic Republic 6-5 on penalties to take home the third place medals of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
In a keenly contested third place game, both sides could not find the back of the net in the regulation time as the match went into straight penalty without the 30 minutes regular extra time and in the kicks, the 1996 champions defeated Congo DR 6-5.
Willams Ronwen saved to kicks of the DR Congo players to ensure is team triumph and take home the Bronze medals.
