Super Falcons defender, Ashleigh Plumptre is surprised by the omission of Chiamaka Nnadozie from the FIFA best goalkeeper nominees, Abbeylivenetwork.com reports.
The World Football Governing body announced the nominees for The Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper award on Thursday, September 14, 2023.
There are seven goalkeepers nominated for the award, with most of them producing huge performances at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The nominees include Mackenzie Arnold, Ann-Katrin Berger, Catalina Coll, Mary Earps, Christiane Endler, Zecira Musovic and Sandra Panos Garcia-Villamil
Plumptre took to social media to reply the post from FIFA with a dancing GIF of Nnadozie, expressing her shock of the Nigerian’s omission.
Nnadozie continued her fine form at club level after saving two penalties to eliminate Arsenal from the Women’s UEFA Champions League.
