The Prosperity Girls who entered the last Group B with one win from two games knew a win in the last game would push them into the last four and they got the needed victory.
Juliet Sunday scored the opening goal of the game for the Prosperity Girls in the eight minutes after Wadi Degla goalkeeper, Farah Hassan spilled Ogoma Joseph’s shot.
Mercy Itimi doubled Bayelsa Queen’s lead in the 49th minute after the interval.
India 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup bronze medalist, Edidiong Etim in the 54th minute set up Mercy Itimi for Bayelsa Queens’ third goal.
Bayelsa Queens will now play the home team, ASFAR Club of Morocco in the semifinal scheduled for Wednesday, 9th, November 2022 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium at 9 pm.
The other semifinal will see defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns play against Simba Queens on Thursday, 10th November 2022 at 5 pm.
