Week 8 of the 2023 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) bore witness to the biggest win of the season so far, as Plateau United yesterday defeated visiting El-Kanemi Warriors 5-0 at the New Jos stadium in the Match Day 8 of the 2022/23 abridged Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, Abbeylivenetwork.com reports.
The home side got off to a dream start when Sunday Anthony opened the scoring in the 2nd minute and 17 minutes later, Jackson Eru made it 2-0.

Sunshine’s Ejike Uzoechi set them on the path of victory when he netted an own goal to put them ahead after the hour mark.
But 13 minutes later, Sunshine Stars were level as Udom Edem Ekerette equalised to make it 1-1 with 15 minutes to play.
Abdoulaye Karim Doudou became the hero of the day when he scored what turned out to be the winner two minutes after Ekerette’s leveller for the Stars.
With the victory, Dakkada have now registered their first win in five matches, putting an end to a run of five successive defeats which saw them drop into relegation waters.
Niger Tornadoes and Bayelsa United shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw while resurgent Wikki Tourist inflicted the second defeat of the campaign on Group B leaders, Lobi Stars in Bauchi via 2-1.
Joseph Atule and Kumaga Suur failed to find their shoe size as they were expertly caged by their host in Bauchi.
