Bayern Munich have decided to part way
s with manager Thomas Tuchel at the end of the season amid their disastrous run of form.
It’s been a tough few weeks for the Bayern boss after his side suffered a 3-0 defeat by league leaders Bayern Leverkusen, a 1-0 loss to Lazio in the Champions League and a disastrous 3-2 defeat by VFL Bochum on Sunday.
The club are now facing the prospect of their first season without winning a trophy since 2011-12, with Leverkusen now eight points clear of the German Champions in the Bundesliga table and, with that in mind, have parted ways with Tuchel.
After intensive discussions over the past few days, Bayern decided to end the collaboration with Thomas Tuchel at the end of the season. After many problems – on and off the pitch – it was clear to the people in charge that things couldn’t continue this way.
However, the club want to finish the season with Tuchel. The players are to be held responsible and should not be given an excuse again with an immediate change of coach. The decision could be communicated soon by the club in order to make a clear statement.
