Bulgarian top side, PFC Levski Sofia has unveiled Super Eagles’ star, Abdullahi Shehu, Abbeylivenetwork.com reports.
The 29-year old player, who can play both right back and defensive midfield roles, joined his new club after 50 games in the colours of Omonia of Greece.
The elated player on his unveiling said; “I’m honoured to join this great team, PFC Levski.
“The club has got great history and one of the oldest in the country.
“I want to be part of the club’s history and win titles.
“I’m excited and I can’t wait to get going. Looking forward to an amazing experience with this amazing group.”
Levski has won a total of 74 trophies, including 26 national titles, 26 national cups and 3 supercups, as well as 13 domestic Doubles and 1 Treble.
It is also the only Bulgarian football club to have never been relegated from the top division since the establishment of the league system in 1937.
Levski has reached the quarter-finals of UEFA competitions for five times, was runner-up of the Balkans Cup twice, and in 2006, it became the first Bulgarian club to reach the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.
