Nigeria’s representative in the CAF Women’s champions league Bayelsa Queens is set to earn a huge cash reward if they emerge as the champion of the competition in Morocco, Abbeylivenetwork.com reports.
The Nigeria champion qualified to represent the WAFU B region after they emerged as a champion of the regional competition in Ivory Coast.
African soccer governing body on Wednesday afternoon announced $400,000 as the cash reward for the winner of the tournament.
The first runners-up will get $250,000, semi-finalists will take $200,000, the third-placed team in the group will earn $150,000 while the 4th place team take $100,000.
Bayelsa Queens will begin their campaign in the competition on a tough note as they confront the tournament defending champion Mamelodi Sundown of South Africa Ladies in the opening group game fixture.
