Nigerian representative Kwara United are off to Niger Republic for Sunday’s CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round tie against AS Douanes, Abbeylivenetwork.com reports.
The players who have been perfecting strategies for the game in Lagos, Abbeylivenetwork learnt, the Afonja Warriors left the Murtala International Airport, Lagos in the evening.
The Afonja Warriors defeated AS Douanes 3-0 last weekend at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos, the result put the Nigeria team in a comfortable position ahead of the second leg.
The Nigeria side will hope to continue their impressive performance in Niamey with the sole aim of qualifying for the next round of the competition.
The game will be played at Stade Général Seyni Kountché in Niamey by 4:15pm.
