Rivers United brightened their chances of reaching the quarter-final of the CAF Confederation Cup with a 2-3 away win in Angola against APC Lobito.
The host who is mathematically out of the competition scored the opening goal from the penalty spot early in the game.
Ekrette Anthony equalised for Rivers in the 40th minute through a header before Alex Oyowah put the Nigerian side ahead from the spot just before halftime.
Farouk Mohammed made it 1-3 for the Pride of Rivers just after the resumption of the second half.
The host scored another goal in the 68th minute but found it difficult to level up the game as it ended 2-3 in favour of the Nigeria side.
