31-years-old Cameroonian footballer, Karl Toko Ekambi has announced his retirement from the Cameroon National Team via his Instagram handle.
Karl made his international debut for Cameroon in 2015. He represented the nation at the African Cup of Nations in 2017, 2019, 2021 and 2023, winning the 2017 tournament. He also played at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
In his words, ”Disappointed not to go further but proud of my team for putting it all together. A fourth African Cup Of Nations Closes The Chapter, marks the end of history. Forever an Indomitable Lion”, he said.
