The Olympic Eagles on Saturday in Ibadan defeated Tanzania 2-0 and qualified for the last round after a 1-1 draw in Dar es Salam.
The cash rain is in fulfillment of the pre match promises by Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Chairman NFF task force on Youth teams Alhaji Aminu Kurfi Balele and Super Eagles skipper Ahmed Musa.
Governor Seyi Makinde had on Friday hosted the U-23 Eagles to dinner where he promised the team $25,000 dollars after the game against Tanzania.
Makinde’s promise understands is beside a 10 million cash gift to the team as they prepared to face Tanzania at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan.
On his part, Alhaji Aminu Kurfi Balele on Friday night fulfilled his $10,000 pledge to the team for the first leg draw in Dar Es Salaam before promising $20,000 dollars for a win over Tanzania.
Meanwhile, Bukola Olopade who also gave the Olympic Eagles $5,000 dollars.
Super Eagles Skipper joined the motivation train when he ended his call to the team from his base in Turkey with a ₦500,000 per goal cash pledge.
Against Tanzania, the U-23 Eagles bagged two goals to secure ₦1 million naira from Musa’s open reward voucher.
