Christopher Musa Danjuma will continue as Head Coach of the Nigeria U-20 Women’s National Team, the Falconets, Abbeylivenetwork.com understands.

Danjuma was in charge of the Falconets to the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica, where the team reached the last-8.

After a screening and interview process by the NFF Technical Committee. The committee has submitted its recommendation to have Danjuma continue on the role and the decision has been approved by the NFF Executive Committee.

The NFF Technical Committee had placed a one-week public notice for applications from suitably qualified persons, after which short-listed candidates were contacted and interviewed.

Danjuma, emerged top and so will stay on the job as Nigeria U-20 Women’s National team, Head Coach.

He will be assisted by former U-20 and U-17 Women’s National team assistant coach Mansur Abdullahi, and former Super Falcons’ midfielder Effioanwan Ekpo.

Ekpo, who is currently in charge of the Cross River State National Youths Games Football team is expected to bring her wealth of experience to bear on the crew which is completed by Goalkeeper Coach Yahaya Audu.

As an immediate mandate, Coach Christopher Danjuma and the Falconets crew will work to prepare a team for the 2024 FIFA Women’s World Cup second qualifying round clash vs Mauritius.

Nigeria will travel to Mauritius for the first leg on October 8th before hosting the reverse fixture at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja on October 14.
