Nigeria international Joe Aribo was on the bench for Southampton in the Saints’ 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa at the Villa Park, Abbeylivenetwork.com reports.
The loss means a back-to-back defeats for Southampton.
Aribo came off the substitute bench at half time in place of Ibrahima Diallo and helped progress the ball better for his team.
His introduction didn’t inspire the Saints as they suffered their fourth defeat in seven matches in the Premier League.
Aribo played for 45 minutes, completed 72% of his passes, two (2) dribbles and four (4) recoveries.
Southampton are 12th on the log while Nottingham Forest occupy the 19th spot with four points.
