Super Eagles trio of Emmanuel Dennis, Taiwo Awoniyi and Francis Onyeka were in action as Nottingham Forest played out a pulsating 2-2 draw with Brendfort in Saturday’s Premier League game, Abbeylivenetwork.com reports.
Nigeria international Dennis was involved from the start and needed only 20 minutes to grab an assist which takes his season tally to two (2) assists and one (1) goal.
Emmanuel Dennis who made the first telling contribution in the encounter as he laid the assist for the home side’s opener.
Dennis played a pass into the path of Morgan Gibbs-White in the 20th minute.
There was more to do for the forward, but he did it with quality, weaving his way through the Brentford defence before unleashing a powerful finish.
Brentford, however, equalised moments before the halftime break courtesy of Bryan Mbeumo’s penalty.
Nigeria Compatriot, Frank Onyeka came on as a substitute for Vitaly Janelt in the 46th minute.
Taiwo Awoniyi came on in the 79th minute as a replacement for fellow Nigerian Dennis.
Former Union Berlin striker could manage only one (1) shot off target from a big chance as he had only three (3) touches of the ball in the 11 minutes plus the added time he spent on the pitch.
Former Lorient man Yoane Wissa put the visitors ahead midway through the second period, but a late Mathias Joergensen own goal earned Forest a share of the spoils.
The draw means Nottingham Forest seat 20th on the league table while Brendfort seat 10th on 16 points.
