Nigeria’s U17 women’s team (the Flamingos) have flown out to Turkey for a ten (10) days training tour before traveling to India for the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup, Abbeylivenetwork.com reports.
The Flamingos had some intense training sessions in Abuja before leaving the sores of Nigeria. A total of twenty-one (21) players were named for this FIFA tournament set to run from 11th to 30th October this year.
The Nigeria U17 Women side was placed in the second group alongside Chile, Germany and New Zealand. Meanwhile, they defeated the likes of Egypt, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Ethiopia to qualify for this year’s edition.
However, Nigeria is not the only African nation that will play in this tournament, they will represent Africa alongside Morocco and Tanzania who were drawn in Group A and D respectively.
