Nigerian/British boxer Dan Azeez defeated Julius Adamu of Ghana in a Light Heavyweight fight at the York hall in London last night. Azeez who won on points controlled the fight right from the first round. The experienced Ghanian pugilist had no answer to the flurry of punches thrown at him by the young boxer from Lewisham.
Azeez told ALN after the fight that he is still learning the ropes as he praised his opponent for giving him a good fight. Azeez went on to call on Nigerians to rally round him as he target a title fight in the first quarter of 2019. His next fight is scheduled for December 14th at the York Hall.
When asked if he won’t mind fighting in Nigeria, Azeez said he is looking to grab the opportunity to fight in his fathers land and it will be a privilege to stand and identify with his people in Nigeria.
