Maduka Okoye and Valentine Ozornwafor has been included in the Super Eagles squad to face The Desert Warriors of Algeria in Oran, Algeria, Abbeylivenetwork.com reports.
Nigeria will take on the north Africa side in Oran on the 27th of this month.
The former Enyimba player, Ozornwafor who joined French second division side Sochaux this summer has been part of the Super Eagles in the past but lost his place due to injury and loss of form.
His club confirmed his invitation on Wednesday afternoon and wished him the very best of luck.
” Valentine Ozornwafor has been called up to Nigeria’s squad for the upcoming international break.” The Club wrote.
Elsewhere, Watford shot stopper was thrown into Eagles wilderness after the defeat to Tunisia in the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) second round in Cameroon.
It’s been nine months since Maduka donned the Super Eagles jersey. He missed out on the World Cup two-legged playoff defeat to Ghana due to ‘illness’.
The list of of players called up for the game is expected to be made public on or before Monday, as Super Eagles camp has been slated to open on the 19th of September 2022.
