Super Eagles striker Teremas Igobor Moffi has been included in the Ligue 1 Team of the Week by the French publication L’Equipe, Abbeylivenetwork.com reports.
Lorient striker Terem Moffi capped off a tremendous weekend after netting two goals to help his side climb to second in the table whilst firing himself to the top of the scoring charts.
Terem Moffi hit top spot in the scoring charts thanks to his brace in Lorient’s Breton derby win at Brest on Sunday.
The Nigerian’s double took his tally to eight goals for the season and now sits top of the pile alongside Neymar and Kylian Mbappé. His first goal came in the 24th minute and served as an equaliser after.
Brest had gone ahead seven-minutes earlier. His superb left-footed finish set Lorient on their way to their eighth win of the season
His second came from a quick reaction and proved to be the winning goal to send unfancied Lorient above Marseille and into second in the table – one point adrift of leaders PSG.
The Nigeria international earned the week’s highest rating of 8/10.
Moffi has scored eight goals in 10 league appearances for Lorient this season.
He is currently the joint top scorer in Ligue along with Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.
