Nigeria will be facing Argentina in a round of 16 clash at the Estadio San Juan del Bicentenario, San Juan on May 31, with kickoff scheduled for 2200 hours.
The Ladan Bosso-led team will be seeking a victory against the South Americans to maintain their hopes of capturing their first-ever U20 FIFA World Cup championship.
They enter the high-profile match off the heels of their humiliating 2-0 loss to Brazil in their final group-stage encounter.
Nigeria qualified for the knockout rounds by virtue of finishing third in Group D, having started with a win against Dominican Republic, followed by an impressive victory against the Italians, before a 2-0 loss to Brazil on Saturday evening.
The Flying Eagles finished on the same number of points as Brazil and Italy but ended up third due to a lesser goal difference.
If Ladan Bosso’s team beat Argentina on Wednesday, their opponent in the quarterfinal would be either Ecuador or the team that finished second in Group F, with the game scheduled to hold at the Estadio Único Madr
