Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi has cleared all his pictures and videos on the social media platform, Instagram after reported cyberbullying.
Iwobi has been a target of heavy criticism for his performance in Nigeria’s 2-1 defeat to Ivory Coast in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final.
The Fulham star played 79 minutes of action on Sunday and was replaced by Alhassan Yusuf in the encounter.
Unimpressed fans stormed Iwobi’s page after the match to drop hate comments in all his posts over his display, a reaction that did not go down well with the 27-year-old.
Iwobi’s then clears all his pictures and videos in his page after the said critics from Nigerians in the AFCON 2023 final.
He played in all seven of the Super Eagles’ matches at AFCON 2023 and he has been a key player for the three-time African champions since he made his international debut for Nigeria in October 2015 against the Democratic Republic of Congo.
