Former Enyimba FC striker Victor Mboama scored a brace to help Katsina United FC to a 2-1 NNL Super 8 playoffs win over DMD FC, Abbeylivenetwork.com reports.

Mbaoma was on target for the Chanji Boys in the 14th and 20th minutes respectively, as Borno based DMD FC pulled one back.

Katsina United FC held on to seal a 2-1 win and leapfrog Pillars to take top spot in the 4-team Northern Conference section at the Nigeria National League Super 8 playoffs.

In their next game, Katsina United will lock horns with EFCC in their second game on Monday.

The third game of Matchday One will pitch Sporting Lagos FC vs FC ONE Rocket by 2pm at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba Delta State.
