Emmanuel Amuneke, a former Super Eagles player, has been unveiled as the new head coach of Heartland FC by Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma.
Heartland FC has reportedly acquired the slot of Beyond Limits and will play in the NPFL for the 2024/25 season.
Amuneke has extensive coaching experience, having previously coached Julius Berger and Ocean Boys in Nigeria, as well as the Nigeria U17 team, which he led to World Cup victory in 2015.
The club aims to return to the elite division after being relegated last season, and Amuneke’s appointment is seen as a key step towards achieving this goal.
