President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Ibrahim Gusau, will inaugurate the Interim Management Committee (IMC) on Friday, Abbeylivenetwork.com gathered.
The inauguration will take place at the NFF Conference Room inside the Secretariat, Abuja by 11am.
The IMC is the new body saddled with the responsibility of running the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) after the League Management Company (LMC) was declared illegal by Nigeria’s sports ministry.
The composition of the IMC was in line with the 10-year football master plan approved by President Muhammadu Buhari.
It is geared towards the revitalization of the domestic league.
Former director general of the sports ministry, Gbenga Elegbeleye will serve as the chairman of the IMC, while Olumide Bamiduro is the secretary.
Rivers United won the NPFL title last season, with Plateau United coming second.
