Sunshine Stars Football Club has parted ways with head coach Edith Agoye. The decision was made following a string of poor results, including a shock defeat in the league.

The board of the club has thanked Agoye for his service and wished him the best for the future. While the decision was a difficult one, the club believes that it is in the best interests of the team to make a change at this time.

After suffering defeat in Ilorin against Kwara United, the Akure Gunners have been blowing hot and cold this season and suffered a narrow defeat to the Afonja Warriors on Saturday.

Sunshine Stars has picked some fantastic results on the road but home form seems to have been the major case for the club.

The report from the team camp on Monday morning shows that the club’s board has asked the coach to step aside and they have begun the search for a new coach.

Kennedy Boboye, Duke Udi and Deji Ayeni all of whom have managed the club in the past have been seen as possible replacements.
