It was a show of shame by referee Joseph Ogabor as his questionable and bias officiating, helped Enyimba FC of Aba beat Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC)2-1 at the Lekan Salami Stadium.

But for Ogabor’s poor showing, the Matchday 19 encounter lived up to the billing as a cracker with the Oluyole Warriors clearly the better side.

The Ibadan soccer lords, threw in all they had into the game and were denied a glaring penalty call by Ogabor, when Kareem Ademola was badly tackled by an Enyimba defender inside the People’s Elephants goal area.

With the first half ending goalless, the Ibadan soccer lords started the second half on high, pressuring their opponent for the opener.

However, a questionable penalty call by Ogabor, who erroneously adjguged that a 3SC defender handled the ball in the box, and the visitors converted the resultant spot kick to go one nil up.

Undaunted by the goal, the coach Gbenga Ogunbote tutored lads continued to press for the equaliser and were deservedly rewarded, with Kareem Ademola getting the leveller.

What would have been the second goal for the Oluyole Warriors, was shockingly overruled by Ogabor, leaving football watchers in awe.

When it appears spoils would be shared, a long range volley, beat goalkeeper Okemute Odah, in goal for the hosts, to ensure the visitors returned to Aba with the maximum points.
