After a period of uncertainty following the departure of Edith Agoye, Sunshine Stars Football Club has appointed Kennedy Boboye as its new head coach.
Boboye is a well-known figure in Nigerian football, having led Akwa United to the league title in 2016. He is seen as a young and dynamic coach, who is well-versed in the local game. His appointment is seen as a fresh start for the club, and he will be tasked with bringing success back to Sunshine Stars.
He was in charge of Heartland briefly this season.
The 50-year-old tactician will be in charge of the team after winless run in their last three games and ended the first round in 12th position.
