Newly promoted Premier League side Leicester City has confirmed the departure of Kelechi Iheanacho from the club.

The Foxes made the announcement on the club’s website that the Super Eagles forward will leave the club upon the expiration of his contract at the end of this month.

Iheanacho, 27, joined Leicester in 2017 from Manchester City. He scored six goals and provided three assists in 26 games last season, registering 61 strikes and 34 assists in 232 appearances in total and won three titles.

Iheanacho, who is currently with the Nigeria National team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against South Africa and Benin Republic has been linked with a move to another premier league side Aston Villa
