PAOK announces the acquisition of William Troost-Ekong from Watford. The Nigerian stopper has signed a contract until June 2026 and will wear the number 15 shirt, Abbeylivenetwork.com reports.
The Super Eagles assistant captain has appended his signature to a three-year deal that will keep him at PAOK until the end of the 2025-2026 season.
PAOK have not disclosed the transfer fee agreed for the former Watford star but a fee of 1.1 million euros has been mooted.
The 29-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Serie A club, Salernitana.
He made nine appearances for the club with one goal to his name.
The centre-back joined Watford from Udinese in 2020.
On Tuesday night, Troost-Ekong joined his new PAOK teammates at their training camp in the Netherlands ahead of their first pre-season friendly on Dutch soil against Steaua Bucharest.
Super Eagles vice-captain sought a new challenge this summer. PAOK convinced him, winning the competition for his signature and the Nigerian has now become a resident of Thessaloniki for the next three years.
