Blessing Oborududu, a Nigerian wrestler, has won her match against Canada’s Linda Morais with a score of 8-2 (VPO1) in the round of 16 at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Oborududu also secured a victory against France’s Koumba Larroque with a score of 6-2 (VPO1) in the quarterfinals.
Oborududu will face Zhumanazarova Meerim of Kyrgyzstan in the semifinals of the women’s 68kg freestyle wrestling event .
The women’s freestyle 68kg competition is scheduled to take place on August 5-6, 2024, at the Grand Palais Éphémère in Champ de Mars.
The competition consists of a single-elimination tournament, with a repechage used to determine the winner of two bronze medals.
A typical bout consists of two halves of three minutes each, with points awarded for various legal maneuvers.
