Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has been hugely impressed by the Flying Eagles and has even gone ahead to pick at least four players from the team who could be called up for next month’s AFCON qualifier against Guinea Bissau, Abbeylivenetwork.com understand.
According to SCORENigeria, A top team official disclosed that the four players are captain Daniel Bamaiyi, midfielders Daniel Daga and Onuche Ogbelu as well as striker Olamilekan Adams.
Bamaiyi is a solid central defender, while defensive midfielders Daga and Ogbelu featured at the U20 AFCON qualifiers in Niger Republic in May 2022.
Remo Stars winger Adams has made a huge success of his conversion to the centre-forward by the Flying Eagles coach Ladan Bosso.
He has scored in his last three games for the team playing as top striker.
Super Eagles stars like Ahmed Musa, Kenneth Omeruo, Victor Osimhen, Taiwo Awoniyi, Wilfred Ndidi and Samuel Chukwueze have made a smooth transition from the Flying Eagles.
Peseiro watched the U20s defeat their Zambian counterparts 4-2 in a warm-up game in Abuja last Friday.
He has also followed their training leading up to their departure this week to Morocco for a training tour before they land in Egypt later this month for the U20 AFCON.
