The Super Eagles of Nigeria have soared to new heights after their impressive performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The team, led by Coach Jose Peseiro, won silver at the tournament and rose to 28th in the FIFA rankings, up from 42nd.
This is the highest the team has ever ranked and represents a huge accomplishment for the country since time past.
In addition to their impressive performance on the pitch, the team also won over fans with their sportsmanship and respect for their opponents.
Super Eagles are now behind Morocco and Senegal on the African continent as they are ranked 12th and 17th globally, with Egypt and Ivory Coast completing the top five in Africa.
