Tyson Fury has confirmed that talks are almost concluded for him to challenge Deontay Wilder for the WBC world heavyweight title in December.
Fury made his comeback after more than two years out vs Sefer Seferi in June and is now set to face Francesco Pianeta in August.
Should he come through that, Fury will look to secure the opportunity to face the ‘Bronze Bomber’ after Anthony Joshua failed to strike a deal to decide the undisputed heavyweight champion.
The lure of becoming a two-time world heavyweight champion so quickly after returning to the ring appears to be too good to resist with Fury updating fans through his social media.
“I can confirm that me and Deontay Wilder are in negotiations,” Fury said. “Very close to being done. Frank told you all on talkSPORT this morning. It’s out there now.
“I can reveal that negotiations are very strong for December. We’re almost done with this deal.
