Abbeylivenetwork.com can exclusively report that Flying Eagles players will fly out to Accra, Ghana at 20:45 hours on Thursday, February 9 ahead of the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, barring any last-minute change in plan.

All things being equal, the players and officials will depart Accra at 04:00 hours on Friday morning for Morocco.

Belgian Pro League side KAA Gent, Ahmed Abdullahi will link up with the team in the North African country.

Four players will later be dropped from the list.

While in Morocco, the seven-time African champions will engage in two friendlies against Benin Republic and South Sudan.

However, Gambia and Republic of the Congo are also potential opponents of the Nigeria U20s in Morocco.

The Flying Eagles are expected to land in Egypt for the 2023 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations next weekend.

Ladan Bosso’s side will take on Senegal in their opening game in the competition on Sunday, February 19.

Hosts Egypt and Mozambique are the other teams in the group.
