Ahead of the second leg of the 2023 U23 African Cup of Nations qualifier, the Junior Taifa Star of Tanzania contingents arrived in Nigeria, Abbeylivenetwork.com reports.
Tanzania left Dar es Salam international airport early hours of Wednesday by en routing to Nigeria.
The players and their officials arrived at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos on Wednesday afternoon.
The contingent then took a road trip to Ibadan after leaving the airport
The Junior Taifa star were held to a 1-1 draw by Nigeria in the first leg last weekend.
The Junior Taifa star will observe a compulsory training at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Adamasingba stadium match venue on Friday.
Meanwhile, victory on aggregate will take either Olympic Eagles or Junior Taifa Star to the next round of the qualifiers, which final tournament has been scheduled for the Kingdom of Morocco 2nd – 26th November 2023.
Morocco will host the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations which will serve as qualifiers for the 2024 Summer Olympics men’s football tournament in France.
