A brace from Kylian Mbappe was enough to send Paris Saint-Germain into the Champions League quarter-finals as they won 2-1 against Real Sociedad.
Heading into the second leg with a 2-0 advantage, the French side opened the scoring on the night with Mbappe’s sumptuous curling effort in the first half before the 25-year-old surged through on goal after the break to finish cooly past Alex Remiro and all-but-secure the tie.
Real, though, came on strong in the closing stages and pulled back a deserved late consolation goal through Mikel Merino’s strike.
It’s back to league action for both sides next as Real travel to face Granada on Saturday while PSG host Reims on Sunday.
