WHAT TO EXPECT IN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE DRAW AND EUROPA LEAGUE DRAW TODAY IN NYON Switzerland.
The UCL Round of 16 draw will commence at 11am GMT on Monday 11 December at Uefa’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.
The Europa League Round of 32 draw takes place at 1pm GMT immediately after the Champions League draw.
WHEN WILL THE GAMES BE PLAYED?
Seeded Champions League group winners will be away in the first legs on 14/15 and 21/22 February. They will play at home in the second leg on 7/8 and 14/15 March.
The Europa League games will take place on February 16 and February 23, with the seeded teams at home for the second leg.

The group winners go into pot 1, while the runners up go into pot 2. They are then drawn out against each other.

WHO CAN’T PLAY WHO?
Teams cannot face a club that they already played against in the group stage or a team from the same National association (Country)
That means Chelsea cannot play Roma as well as another English team in the Round of 16. That leaves only Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Besiktas as Chelsea’s options.

There are 24 teams from the group stages plus eight Champions League teams who finished third in their group. The four UCL teams with the best records go into the seeded winners pot, while the other four go into the unseeded runners up pot. They are then drawn out against each other.

Draw Rules
• There will be two pots of clubs for the round of 32 draw: the 12 group winners and the four best third-ranked teams in the UEFA Champions League group stage are seeded.
• The group winners and four best third-placed teams in the UEFA Champions League will be drawn against the 12 group runners-up and the remaining third-placed UEFA Champions League sides.
• The seeded teams will be at home in the second leg.
• No team can play a club from their UEFA Europa League group or a side from the same national association.
• Based on decisions taken by the UEFA Executive Committee, teams from Russia and Ukraine cannot be drawn together.
• Games will be played in principle on Thursdays 15 and 22 February at 19:00CET and 21:05CET, with the exact schedule released after the draw.
