The 5-time World Champions reached the semi-final of the championship with high hopes after winning two games and drawing one during the group stage.
But it was never meant to be as they succumbed to the firing power of the Ivorians who looked more determined.
After a scoreless first half, Coulibaly rose to net the winning goal in the 54th minute and earned the Ivory a final berth against Burkina Faso.
In the finals, Burkina Faso will square up against Ivory Coast who have both qualified for the 2025 African Cup of nations, while Nigeria and host country will settle for the third place.p
